For Libraries & Booksellers

John B. Marek is committed to helping libraries and independent booksellers bring his books to their communities. He offers special discounts and flexible purchasing programs designed specifically for libraries, bookstores, and other organizations interested in carrying his work.

Whether you’re looking to stock the Owen Sinclair mystery series, add local-interest titles to your collection, or feature John’s books as part of an author event or community program, he is happy to work directly with you to find an arrangement that fits your needs.

For Libraries

Libraries can purchase up to three copies of any of John’s books directly from him at cost, plus shipping. This provides libraries with an affordable way to add his books to their collections, including the Owen Sinclair mystery series and his other published works.

John is also available to participate in library programming, including:

  • Author readings and presentations
  • Book discussions and reader meetups
  • Community literary events
  • Library festivals and special events
  • Other programs tailored to your library and its patrons

For in-person appearances, John is available to libraries within approximately two hours of his Huntersville, North Carolina, home. He is also available for virtual programs with libraries anywhere.

For Booksellers & Other Retailers

Independent bookstores and other retail outlets can buy John's books directly from the author at 60% of the retail price, with 90-day payment terms and full return privileges within that period.

John publishes his books independently through Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) rather than through a traditional publishing house or book distributor. If your store has policies that require books to be supplied through a traditional distributor, this may present a challenge, and John understands that.

For retailers able to purchase directly from independent authors, however, John is happy to offer a straightforward wholesale arrangement. Orders can include individual titles or multiple books from the Owen Sinclair series and his other works.

John is also available for in-store author events, including:

  • Book signings
  • Author readings
  • Meet-and-greets
  • Conversations with readers
  • Special events and promotions

If you're a bookseller, gift shop, outdoor retailer, or other business interested in carrying John's books, contact John directly to discuss an order or event.
