HUNTERSVILLE, NC — July 8, 2026 — Local outdoor mystery and thriller author John B. Marek will be a featured author at the upcoming Charlotte BookPALOOZA, scheduled for Friday, October 10, 2026, at Truist Field in Uptown Charlotte. The premier literary event will run from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, bringing together avid readers, independent bookstore owners, and regional writers for a celebration of the written word.
Marek, known for his fast-paced, wilderness-infused suspense novels, including the Amazon-charting novella The Two Dollar and the Owen Sinclair mystery series, will be on-site to meet fans, discuss his writing process, and sign copies of his books. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase his latest releases, as well as his retrospective collection, Collected Stories 1995–2025.
"Truist Field is a spectacular venue for an event like BookPALOOZA," said Marek. "I'm looking forward to stepping out from behind the keyboard to connect face-to-face with the regional reading community, share some stories, and talk about the experiences that go into crafting outdoor mysteries."
The event marks a major gathering for the Charlotte-area literary community, offering a family-friendly atmosphere at the ballpark with local vendors, author panels, and book signings.
